Feminist Library Cataloguing

The Feminist Library is documenting its collection of Second Wave Feminist materials.  Kate Lomax is setting up an online catalogue using the Koha opensource Library Management System, and the rest of the Collection Management Committee are working on cataloguing standards and practice ready to input data as soon as Koha is configured for our needs.

The Library has received a Training For All grant to train 15 volunteers in aspects of radical librarianship.

Highlights

Our twitterfeed shares highlights from the collection compiled as we catalogue, as well as some more general news. The cataloguing project was recently the subject of a paper at Internet Librarian International.

There’s also an article in the Feminist Library Newsletter by Sarah O’Mahoney on some of her personal favourite finds.
