Poetry from Art 2011

One of the social highlights of the summer was the launch of this year’s pamphlet from the Poetry from Art courses run by the wonderful Pascale Petit.
This year we were again in the East Room, on the seventh floor of Tate Modern, with wonderful views across the Thames. There were around 140 people in the audience, and the atmosphere was celebratory. Pascale has posted some of the photos and her account of the event on her blog.
Looking forward to next year’s classes, which will start in February. This term I’ve signed up for Jen Hadfield’s online course Making It Strange. It has to be said, the strangest thing of all is not being at the Tate with the Poetry from Art group. Roll on February 2012!
