Cilip in London, April
January 16, 2007I’ve just confirmed my talk to the branch on the Social Libraries Course:
“Date: Tuesday 10 April 2007
Time: 6.30 pm
Venue: The Sekforde Arms, Sekforde Street, London EC1
Speaker: Anne Welsh
Anne is part of ‘Five weeks to a social library’, an innovative and free US-based online course for teaching librarians about social software (such as blogs, RSS, social bookmarking and wikis) and its use in libraries. She will describe the origins of the course and the value of international collaboration, as well as discussing the role of social software in libraries.
Anne Welsh is Information Officer (Bibliographic Services) at national drugs information charity DrugScope, where she has been developing current-awareness services. She is the Editor of Catalogue & Index and its blog and is a regular contributor to conferences and journals.
CILIP in London evening meetings are free and open to all with a professional interest in the topic. Refreshments will be available afterwards. As space is limited, please let us know if you are coming. It would be helpful to tell us how you found out about the event. Contact Phillip Powell at Phillip@montanaroad.plus.com ” (Cilip in London event page, accessed 16/01/2007).
